Zoom Art Classes with Art Studio 5005
Welcome to our Fall Semester Art Schedule, ages 6-10.
Course topic: 16th century European art (Netherlands, Flemish Region, France, Spain, Belgium). We will learn about classical art, including artists such as Rembrant, Snyders, Jan Brueghel, Pieter de Hooch, Velázquez, Goya, and Boucher. We will be drawing royal portraits- learning proportions, how to draw gems, ornaments, and show the folds on fabric with the help of shadows and light, lanscapes with perspective, how to make a tree come to life, views and people strolling through cities, and ancient castles. Our main focus will be to learn how to use different materials and use all sorts of techniques: line work, color, strokes, forms, shadows, contrast, shading and many more, escpecially how to find your own style and to draw with your soul.
You will need the following materials: Thick paper, pencil, eraser, colored (prismacolor premier / soft) pencils, watercolor paint pallet, watercolor paper, synthetic brushes, acryllic paints, jar for water (when painting), rag/ paper towels.
Highly reccomended materials, charcoal, colored/tinted paper, white chalk pencil, sanguine, canvas, guache paint, scissors.
We are sticking to the same class schedule on Wednesdays (September 16, 23, 30, and October 7, 14, 21, 28) @ 5:00pm - 6:00pm.
We would really appreciate it, if parents would sign up for the 7 week course, and priority would be given to those who sign up in advance. You can sogn up for one class a week. Our course is $175 for one student or $308 per course for a family (immediate siblings).
We will still be posting events on ticketleap and facebook, but the tickets will become available only if there is space left after monthly subscriptions are sold. We’re trying to keep our classes small, that way our students can get more personal attention.

Payments and registration.
We would prefer paypal to [email protected] (if you do not mind, please choose payments to friends and family)). You can also pay via Chase QuickPay with Zelle to the same email/ or Boris Kuznetsov 914-772-6919.
And we will keep the option for you to pay through Ticketleap if your only possible payment is credit card.
To register you will need to email us the following info:
Child name/age (for every child).
Class day(s) and time (s).
Payment method.
Parents names/ phone number and email you check for the updates and Zoom meeting IDs/ passwords.
Adult helper names would also help!
If you are paying through Do-Re-Mi school of Music and Art, please pay/register with them first and send us your information as well.
From now on we have to have all our class meetings with pre-registered guests only and will provide zoom passwords for everyone's protection. (Zoom had issues with hackers breaking into events, but it looks like they upped their security).
We will send you zoom links and passwords at least 1 hour before the class, so please check your email.
Upon entering the classroom, or while in the waiting room, please rename your zoom account with your child’s name that you registered, we won’t be letting anyone in who will be anonymous.

Here are the recommended materials for our classes, please make sure to have them, the quality your child’s art skills will improve when using professional tools!
Amazon/ Walmart / Michaels/ ACMoore/ JoAnns fabric- all have the same basic materials, they do deliver (even though the delivery process takes more time than before).
Colored pencils and watercolor paper or heavy cardstock (65 lbs or more) are a must!
Colored pencils- our all time favorite is the Prismacolor premier colored pencils.
(They have different sets, please get a minimum of 24 pencils set, they also have a 75 pencil, a 132, and go up to 150 colored pencils! These pencils are very soft and are perfect for drawing, they are wonderful for blending and mixing colors, all what an artist can wish for)

Class guide! (Zoom)
1. Create a zoom account (sign in a few minutes early to make sure you are connected)
2. Enter our zoom Meeting ID
3. Enter the password we provide
4. Join with video
5. Wait for the host to approve
6. Enjoy our class! (Send us pictures of your artwork when finished @ [email protected] )
If you have problem check the following:
1. Sign out and sign into your account
2. Restart Zoom
3. Try connecting through the browser https://zoom.us/ ex: google chrome/internet explorer (apple products Iphone/Ipad tend to have problems when using the app)
